Searching For Spot

If you have ever had a dog be a big part of your life and would do anything in your power to find that dog, then this is something you would understand.

On Jan 31, 2023, Paul Rush was in Rio Rancho when his truck was stolen. In his truck was his best buddy, Spot, an 18-year-old cocker spaniel that is missing one eye and blind in the other eye and partially deaf. Spot, being an active senior dog, always enjoyed going with Paul everywhere, and so he was with Paul on his trip to NM from TX for an appt.

The truck was stolen 60 seconds before Paul walked out of the Sandoval Regional Medical Center. Police have not had much to report in the case so it has been up to Paul to search for Spot.

The stolen truck was Paul's main form of transportation, the key to his other vehicle was in the truck so some work had to be done to get that vehicle useable. Also, there were other items of value in the truck that Paul will have to replace, but Paul says the loss of those items are just a part of life. His only concern is Spot, and that has been his only focus.

Spot has been his best buddy for 16 years and the loss of his little old man has weighed heavy on Paul's heart. He has driven back from Texas numerous times to search for Spot, which is another expense that he never complains about, he just wants to find Spot.

Since I know the unexpected financial burden this whole event has created for Paul I created this GoFundMe page to help him out. This will help Paul with the cost he is incurring for his travel and also help open other resources in the search for Spot. There have been many people helping in the physical search for Spot. Others have asked if there is another way they can help and this fundraiser would be a way to help Paul with his search to find his little buddy.
