Sean's 50th Birthday Surprise!

Hi Everyone.

This is a difficult and yet, a super special request.

With being missionaries overseas and doing ministry and needing funding - whether it's for widows and children or our own personal support - I feel like we are always asking for something and never being able to give anything in return for everyone's generosity and kindness.

And yet, here I am coming to all of you anyway, asking if you can make Sean's 50th birthday (November 12th!) a really special one.

You heard that right: Sean's 50th Birthday!!!!

Sean is aware of just a few small details of his birthday surprise. What he does know are the dates we would be away, that it's a safari of some sort, and a few of the people we are going with. That's all.

Sean doesn't ask for much. Birthdays and Christmases are always the same: "I don't really need anything" which makes it difficult for me who's major love language is gifts. But since this is a big birthday for Sean, I would love to be able to give him this amazing safari. Sean is always there for people. He is always giving of himself and loving on others; I would love for him to feel loved back and know how much he means to so many of us.

What does this all entail?

We would be doing a three nights stay in Ol Pejeta Conservancy (https://www.olpejetaconservancy.org/). This is for November 3rd to November 6th.

Ol Pejeta is known to be the best safari park in the country due to it's huge animal population and the amount of different animal species that they have. And it backdrops Mount Kenya (which is the largest mountain in Kenya and second largest in Africa). It's a private wildlife conservancy which is why it's more expensive than the government facilitated ones but it's also the reason as to why it's one of the best safaris to venture on. And the cost has been one of the reasons we've never been able to do this safari.

The amount also includes the fees for us to be in the parks for each of those days.

This also includes all the food and beverages during that time.

This also includes: one nighttime safari and a chance to meet and pet the last two northern white rhinos left in the world. These two would be the epic surprises for Sean! He has no idea!

It also includes the rental and driver of a safari vehicle to do the roundtrip drive from Nakuru to the conservancy and back home again. That way Sean doesn't have to drive anywhere; he can sit back and enjoy being loved on and relaxed without the stress of the Kenyan roads and drivers.

And most importantly: I would also love for you to send notes or stories or words of encouragement for Sean. You can email them to me privately and I will put them together and give them to him while we are on safari. Even if you can't donate toward this, we would LOVE for you to put together a note for Sean for his birthday. It would mean so much to him.

Any amount helps in making this happen - no pressure at all!!
