Matt & Sean's Stolen Stuff - Laptops Etc

Sean and Matt are an amazing couple and two of my best friends. Both of them participate in the yearly AIDS LifeCycle ride from SF to LA -- Sean as a roadie, Matt as a rider -- and this year alone raised over $40k as a couple, and over $600k as part of the "New Bear Republic" riding team. That's on top of three previous years of raising tens of thousands of dollars for AIDS research.
The night before they both left on this year's ride, they had a sizeable chunk of their personal belongings stolen from a friend's car (whose partner was also an ALC roadie).
The total loss is worth about $4500 in laptops, ipads, laptop bags, luggage, clothing, and insurance deductible for the car damage.
Unfortunately, none of the parties involved had renter's insurance, and auto insurance won't cover the stolen items.
Given the hard work and countless hours of their personal lives that these guys have given the community -- not to mention the thousands of dollars they've raised to support AIDS research -- a group of their friends felt we should help them get back to square one by starting a fund to replace their stolen stuff and get the car's windows repaired.
They work so hard for a MUCH bigger cause raising TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars more, the least we could do is repay that dedication with a personal thanks. Anything you can give would help, and please feel free to spread the word!
