Sean Johnson's Hit & Run Recovery
Donation protected
Sean Johnson, a dear friend to many here in the Richmond community, was struck by an automobile while riding his bicycle in Church Hill on November 14th, 2020. The driver fled the scene leaving Sean unconscious in the street bleeding from his ear. Sean suffered many traumatic injuries including a skull fracture and hemorrhaging in his brain. We are thankful that he was found by a pedestrian in time to be rushed to the hospital as it could have been much worse.
Since the accident Sean has been in debilitating pain due to the swelling and bruising in his brain. Along with the ambulance ride he has spent three nights in the emergency room, two days in the ICU and another two days in the main hospital at VCU. The driver was found only because their license plate was left at the scene. We are hopeful that he will be compensated towards medical expenses, but it could take years before that is finalized.
Sean will be unable to work for a while and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Sean is one of the most loving and kindhearted people out there and any contribution to help him during this scary and painful time is appreciated more than words can express.
