Sean Dembeck's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Sean Dembeck and I am a Life Scout at Troop 563 based out of St. Williams on Rising Sun Ave. I've been involved in Scouting since I was 11 and dedicated many aspects of my life to Scouting.  I've held various positions throughout my Scouting career such as Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster and have taken full advantage of the oppurtunities Scouting has to offer.  However, this year I am turning 18 and my Scouting journey as a youth  is coming to an end.  My focus at this time is reaching the rank of Eagle.  In order to reach Eagle, I am required to complete a service project.  For the project, I am responsible for making the plan, raising funds, gathering a workforce, managing every detail, and completing the project.  I have already chosen my project beneficiary and some aspects of my project are already underway. My plan is to build four new garden boxes for the residents of the Philadelphia Protestant Home on Tabor Ave.  All of their gardens are currently at ground level.  By building the garden boxes; we are raising the beds off the ground, providing better accessibility and safety for more of the residents.   As part of my fundraising, I plan on holding a bake sale and a car wash.  While I should be able to raise a good portion of the money needed, I'm afraid I may not raise enough for the entirety of the project.  Therefore I've set up this Go Fund Me so that any family or friends that may want to contribute can help.  Any money raised above my initial budget for the project can be used to buy better quality materials so the residents can enjoy the garden boxes for many years to come.  Any money leftover will be donated to the Protestant Home for the maintenance of the gardens.  I look forward to completing the project, helping the residents of the Protestant Home, and achieving my goal of becoming an Eagle Scout.  I thank you in advance for any help you can give.  It is greatly appreciated.
