The Branham Family Event Fund

Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)

Background:  The Branham family gathers on an annual basis to fellowship.  Each family pays their own way to attend the event.  Occasionally there are unanticipated costs or hardships that could impact the quality of the event or the ability of some family members to attend.  

Purpose of the fund:   The family has agreed to take a proactive approach to addressing future unanticipated costs by establishing a family BFE fund in the amount of $660. The funds are meant to be used for the good of the group to cover cost that will add to the quality of the BFE.

Administrative provisions:

Contributors to the fund are by default agreeing to the terms of this MOA.
Recipients of funds are by default agreeing to the terms of this MOA.
The fund will operate on a calendar year that begins in January and ends on December 31 of each year.
Each family has a single vote to cast in all decisions that are brought up for a vote.
The fund manager will be selected by a simple majority vote that will occur in February of each calendar year.
Any family who is a part to this MOA can initiate a vote on decisions that need to be made.
Any family can choose to withdraw from this MOA at any point in time by submitting their decision to withdraw from the MOA to the fund manager.
 
Fund Management:
The account will be established in the amount of $660 with all families contributing an equal share each year.
Each family will contribute $60 per calendar year to this fund.
The funds will be primarily submitted through the existing gofundme account. Funds can also be sent directly to the fund manager
Unused balances will be carried over from year to year.
Decisions for disbursement of funds will be made by a simple majority vote.
A financial report of funds received and disbursed during the calendar year will be prepared by January 8 of the following calendar year.

The family can request an ad hoc financial report based on a simple majority vote. Such a report should be provided within 1 week of the vote.
Individuals or family requesting funds must have contributed to the fund in the past
Recipients of funds are bound by the terms of this MOA and should contribute to the fund in the following calendar year
Approved Uses for the Funds:

The list below is not all inclusive. Other uses can be approved by a simple majority vote

Unanticipated cost or fees for the venue
Supplies or other goods that will benefit everyone
To cover a an unanticipated cost that would substantially improve the quality of the event for everyone

Restrictions on Fund Use:
All restrictions listed below can be waived by a 2/3 majority vote.

Funds shall not be used to cover the full cost of an individual or family participating in the BFE as this is an anticipated cost that should be borne by the family.
