Sigma Delta Nu For PR Relief

10 years ago, 6 of my best friends and I started a Sorority in the hopes of leaving a better Puerto Rico behind. Sigma Delta Nu was founded in Mayagüez, PR within the statutes of student organizations of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. We are also now members of the student organizations of the Interamerican University in San Germán. Our sorority was built on the principle of giving to those in need and... Today, after hurricane María, our whole island needs us to start rebuilding. We want to reach out and start giving back to the island that formed us as soon as possible. We appriciate your help. We are using the resources collected in this campaign to help support ongoing relief aid... individuals who need help sending vital supplies to their families, helping coordinate with organizations who have received donations and cannot forward them to PR. This is an ongoing process. We will continue to update our page with news and success stories.

The list of supplies we are looking to buy and distribute includes (but is not limited to):

*Batteries (as you may know, the island is still without power and these are needed for radios, fans, etc.)
*Water (there is no electricity, therefore, potable water is scarce)
*Water filters
*Feminine higene products
*Adult and Baby diapers
*Electrolytes 
*Cleaning supplies (in order to prevent an epidemic, we must provide people with means to clean their spaces)
*Blankets, towels, pillows, and other bedding supplies (some people lost all their belongings and need basic sleeping products)
*non perishable food (canned, boxed, etc.)
*insect repellent
*We are in constant communication to see what else is needed.
