SCVP & Young Jains supporting Hugletts Farm

This Diwali SCVP and Young Jains have teamed up to support the amazing, compassionate work being done at Hugletts Wood Farm Animal Sanctuary, which is led by the inspirational Wenda Shehata for over 25 years.

The following from the Hindu religious text of Skanda Purana epitomises the ethos of Hugletts:

"Not for any kindom do I long,

not for the kingdom of heaven,

not even for freedom from the endless cycle of of birth and death;

for one and only one thing do I long -

to free living beings

from their agony and sorrow

and to wipe away their tears."
