is a 2 year old rescue pitbull German shepherd mix from BARCS. He has spent most of those 2 years in and out of the shelter, having been dealt an unlucky hand. Until he found his forever home. He’s full of life, and loves to run and play tag with his sister Miya. Today after work his family came home to one of the most traumatic moments of their lives... scrappy was using his forearms to drag the rest of his body across the living room floor, trying to rush to greet them at the door still smiling and as happy as ever. After rushing him to the Pet ER they were told that Scrappy has a nerve blockage in his spine that is causing paralysis in his back legs. He is facing a surgery that ranges from 6,000-$9,000 dollars to fix a herniated disc or a clot that is putting pressure on his spine. The doctors are very hopeful and optimistic that, if able to have the surgery, Scrappy will make a full recovery and be able to run and play with his sister again. After undergoing a neurological exam they have discovered that he still has the reflexes in both legs and could regain full use of them post surgery. Scrappy’s surgery is very expensive and we are asking for any donation, whether it be $1 or $5, to help alleviate some of these medical costs. Scrappy is currently staying overnight at a 24 hour neurological center. Any donation will help, and is greatly appreciated by Scrappy and his family.
