We are the band Scout. We are working on our first full length album and are inviting you to help make this labor of love a reality.
Over the last year, we have worked hard to develop 10 album-ready songs and have even started the recording process. Now we are ready for the next step, but need your help.
Scout is an alt-country band made of members Nathan Labat (Guitar, Vocals), Stefan Schmidt (Bass, Harmonica), and Kristin Hingten (Lead Guitar, Vocals). While the songs have been carefully arranged over the last year, their roots have been forming for many years and draw heavily from the life of Nathan Labat, the lead singer/songwriter.
This album, The Great Migration, is sonically and lyrically influenced by desert imagery, Americana and growth from youth to adulthood. It fuses classic country with various other musical genres including ambient rock. Countless hours of work have already gone into the crafting of these songs with the hope that they will be something special to share with many people.
To make this album the best it can be, we need your help. Here is the budget for completing the 10 song album.
Recording = $3,000
Mixing = $2,250
Mastering = $1,000
Additional Instrumentation = $500
CD Replication = $750
CD Cover Photography = $400
Promotional Materials (T-shirts, etc.) = $400
GoFundMe Campaign Fees = $700
Total Cost: $9,000
