Scott Saxe Memorial Fund

Scott Saxe was always the straw that stirred the drink of any party.  Smart, opinionated, outgoing.  I know firsthand because I had a front row seat, having the privilege of being his friend for the better part of three decades.  You could walk into any place in Appleton, he knew everyone and everyone knew him.  "The Mayor Of The Fox Valley."  Sadly the mayor passed away suddenly on October 30th.  A truly heartbreaking loss for his family, numerous friends and quite frankly, the human race.  They simply don't make 'em like Scott Saxe anymore.  The Saxe family is holding a non-traditional memorial service for Scott on Thursday, November 9th at The Capitol Centre Bar & Grille, 725 W. Capitol Drive in Appleton from 4:30pm-8pm CST...a celebration of Scott's life on what would have been his 45th Birthday.  Songs will be performed, stories will be told, toasts will be given.  Perhaps a tear or three will be shed, but will no doubt be outnumbered by the many smiles and laughs that will be generated as we fondly regale tales of "The Serpent."  If you are unable to attend this celebration (or even if you are) and would still like to find a way to honor Scott, his family has asked me to set up this Go Fund Me account on their behalf to assist them in covering the expenses of Scott's funeral arrangements and his memorial celebration service.   His brother Pete Saxe will be in charge of using the funds gathered here for those purposes.  Thank you from Scott's family and friends for your support and for being a part of Scott's full yet much-too-brief life.  Rest In Peace, Friend.  Sincerely, Mike McGill
