Scott’s Thyroid Cancer Treatment

Scott and Sarah are a wonderful young couple, who recently discovered that Scott has thyroid cancer. Two months after finding out about the cancer and while still undergoing cancer treatment, the company he was working for went bankrupt; and he lost his job.
If you were to personally know this great couple, you would know that Scott has a great big heart and is quick to make friends with just about everyone he meets.
The surgeons biopsed and removed a mass from his thyroid, and were optimistic that the mass was benign. However it was so large that it took them two weeks to go through it, so when they got the call about the cancer it came as a huge shock to them. He was rushed back in for surgery the very next day to remove the rest of the thyroid.
Thankfully, after numerous treatments, scans, and hospital visits, Scott appears to be cancer free!
The insurance company only covered $3,000 of the medical bills. However, they are still needing to pay off about $40,000 worth of medical bills and debt from Scott losing his job while he was in the midst of thyroid cancer treatments. At this time of this writing, Scott is hired through and receiving wages by a temp agency.
