Scott's Running Madness!

Donation protected
Hi There. My name is Scott Beighton.
In December 2020 I took up running again properly, an activity I have tried on and off over many years. This was following a challenge given to me by a good friend to run an activity called Marcothon (where you run everyday in December for either 25mins or 3 miles!) which I completed and thoroughly loved. I continued this into 2021 and really started to enjoy my running - it gave me time to clear my head and recharge, that was until March 2021 when I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease at age of 45 which was a real shock to the system, it also put an end to my running for about 3 months due to the medication. But through the support of close family,  friends and my running group family (based all over the country) and the support of my local hospital specialist rehab centre (Claire, Olivia and Rachel to name a few) I have been able to restart my journey into running and even start to enjoy it.
Towards the autumn of 2021 I joined two running groups (Castle Striders and Rogue Runners Ripley) which have been amazing in helping me get back to a good level of fitness and complete 1200km of running for the year which is a huge achievement for me being middle aged and really unfit at the start of the year! I now find my running is really benefitting me both physically and mentally as it also helps to keep the Parkinsons at bay slightly, which aids in the cognitive side of things as well - meaning I can lead a complete life with my family and friends, even on bad days when the cognitive symptoms are just as visible as the physical ones.
At the start of 2022 I thought about setting myself a challenge of running a half marathon and then a marathon by the end of the year and was faced with many people saying to me “you need to stop running”, “you should take it easy now”, “you can’t do that”, “You’ll never do that” and other such negative and insulting comments so I chose to up the game a little bit and give them a big "Your Wrong" message by pushing my self to run an event of some nature every month - not just for me but also to raise money for Charity.
So, I am spending this year raising money through my running for the specialist rehab centre in Derby and for Parkinsons UK. In doing this I'm taking a huge jump by completing not only events from 10k. to marathon distance but I am also booked onto an Ultra marathon of 100km where I will be non stop for the whole race! I am doing all of this now as I want to be able to look back in the years to come when it may not be possible for me to get out and run and say "I did that and look what I achieved"
As I said I am running an event every month this year (I am paying all the entry fees so they wont come out of the fundraising donations) no matter the weather or location to raise as much money as possible. The list is:
January - Sherwood Pines 10k - completed
January - Ashbourne Park 2k family fun run (x3 my two daughters separately and me all back-to-back!) - Completed
February - Queens Platinum Jubilee 1/2 marathon - Completed
February - Run for Ukraine 10k - Completed
March - Ashby 20 miles - Completed
April - Derby 10k - Completed
June - Race to the King - 50km Ultra Marathon
June - Ramathon (1/2 marathon)
July - Smalley 5 Bells (5miles)
July - Race to the Stones 100km Ultra Marathon non stop
August - Belper Rover - 30km trail run
September - Wilne 10k
September - Tissington 1/2 marathon
October - Lady Bower 1/2 marathon
November - Derby 10 mile
December - Bolsover 10k

So I am asking (begging even) is if you can help me to raise my target of £1000 by donating what ever you can spare please - even just a couple of pounds will make a difference to all of those who use the services I am trying to support.
Thankyou
