A dear friend of mine, Martin Macari passed away last year and I set myself the challenge of learning a new game and trialling for the National Touch Squads in his honour. Martin was my first captain at Watsonians and also won many many age grade caps for Scotland.
I was fortunate to make it into the Scotland Over 35 Touch Squad for this summer's European Championships in Nottingham, and am working hard with all of my amazing teammates to ensure we represent our country, families and friends to the best of our abilities.
We are aiming to raise money and awareness for the 'Sporting Start' charity set up in Martin's name.
