On Monday, March 12, 2018, we received heartbreaking news that turned our worlds upside down. Scott Bentley passed tragically and unexpectedly on that day and our lives will never be the same. Scott was a loving and devoted husband to Marcia; a kind and doting father to Cody (29) and Shelby (13); a warm and hilarious Papa to Aiden (6) and Teagan (2). As a faithful son, beloved brother, father in law, and brother in law, he was cherished by both sides of the family. He was a loyal, thoughtful friend who was always the life of the party, ready to make anyone laugh at a moment’s notice; sharing his own exuberant, hearty laughter with everyone around him. He will be missed every day, but loved and cherished forever as his memory lives on among his family and friends.
You are receiving this message because you have touched the lives of Scott, Marcia, and their family in countless ways. You are the people who are closest and dearest to their hearts. Whether you know the Bentleys from school, college, work, SCV Cheer, TTP, Studio 84, Escape Theater, the neighborhood, or if fate just happened to bring them into your lives, you have been an important part of their lives throughout the years. At this tragic, heartbreaking time, the Bentleys need our support more than ever. The loss of Scott has been shocking, confusing, and tragic. We hope and pray that Scott has found peace and while there is nothing we can do to bring our beloved Scott back to us here on earth, there is something we can do for the Bentleys right now that would make a world of difference in their lives.
We have set up a fundraising campaign to help defray some of the costs that have come and will come Marcia’s way. The funds will be used to help with cremation services, as well as memorial services, for our dear Scott. In addition, your donations will also help with other day to day expenses that come with the sudden loss of a husband and father.
At this time of great sorrow our hope is that we are able to come together to help support our dear friends, the Bentleys, share and cherish the memories we have of Scott, and ease a little of the financial burden that comes with this type of loss. If you are not able to make a monetary donation, please consider donating gift cards or any other services that you think may be helpful to the family as they start to rebuild their lives. And if words of comfort or prayers are the things you are comfortable offering, they will be extremely appreciated as well.
