Scott Watson Medical Benefit

Donation protected

Okay, Fremont County! Brett and Kay Watson are deep-rooted Riverton residents and major contributors to our community. They are behind the scenes in a number of events and on-goings in our amazing little town including our city Recreation Board, District 24 and 25 Schoolboards, Kiwanas, Jaycees, Riverton youth sports (RJFL and Riverton JO Softball), play a major role in the annual Ron Thon Memorial Wrestling Tournament and they were founders of the Tonkin Foundation. They are members of the Cornerstone Community Church, they have created our famous Facebook page, “From Riverton: Above and Beyond What You've Heard”….you get the drift.

The Watson’s bring immense joy and light to our community. When our community is in need, they're here! Now it is our turn to help the Watsons. Their family is facing a hurdle and they need a boost to help them clear it. Their son, Scott has been diagnosed with advanced liver failure and their family needs all of our help. Below is a write up from their daughter, Jennifer Watson. Please take the time to read, to say a prayer for Scott, and to donate if you can and please re-share to your page.

2020 has been hard on all of us. While we were preparing to say goodbye to this year, 2020 had one more test to throw our way.
My little brother, Scott Watson, was diagnosed with advanced liver failure and given an 80% chance of mortality within the next 3 months, unless he can get a new liver.

At the age of 34, he is preparing for the battle of his life and we are going to fight with him every step of the way.
He works for a small business that cannot afford to provide health insurance. They have been extremely supportive, providing encouragement and love and ensuring that he has a place to work when he is able.
After many calls and an outpouring of amazing community support, Scott was able to get medical insurance effective February 1st. The presents us with an entire month of out-of-pocket expenses including travel, lodging, physician appointments, treatments, tests, and not to mention the undetermined amount of time that Scott will be out of work.
The reality of those costs are hitting Scott as his expenses already exceed $15,000 in preliminary testing, physician appointments and emergent medical needs.
Scott is facing many additional tests and appointments before February 1st to determine if he is candidate to receive a new liver.
We are not going to give up! Scott has an army of amazing people ready to ride with him into battle. We love him dearly and he has much more to give to this world.
We cannot begin to express our gratitude and appreciation for the outpouring of support and love for Scott and our family.
There are no words to describe the hope that you bring to Scott and our family with your love, support and prayers.
Even in this extremely difficult time, we see angels on earth. Thank you for any support you can offer. We are humbled and grateful beyond measure.

There is also a beneficiary account at First Interstate Bank in Riverton. Make your donation to Brett or Kay Watson and mention Scott in your check memo!

As a community, let's give back to this family, who has already given so much to us. Thank you all!
