King County Sheriff's Office Detective Scott Tompkins was a father, son, fiancée, brother, friend, mentor and 27 year law enforcement veteran who died unexpectedly at age 48 on Sunday, September 9 after a brief illness.  Scott touched countless lives through his investigations and his relentless advocacy for victims and justice. He was proud beyond measure of his adult children, Taylor and Noelle and his grandchildren, Axel and Tucker. He was loved beyond words by his fiancée, Jennifer, his parents, his siblings and countless friends and colleagues.
