Scott Smith recovery

Scott was taken into the ER by ambulance Wednesday afternoon after feeling severe chest pain and nauseated  at work. After being in the ER the nurses suggested a CT of the heart in hopes it would not confirm the diagnosis they were dreading. When he gets back from the CT a total of 9 men come walking in including a cardiac surgeon who tells us if we don’t get him into surgery he is going to die, but also if we let him have surgery he has a 10% chance of living even with blood. Scott was adamant about no blood even with these odds. He was going in for an aortic aneurysm and aortic dissection. After the longest 8 hours of a families life the phone rang with the best news “the surgery went okay and he will be out in hour”.  Everyone on the surgical icu floor said this man is the luckiest man ever to be alive, every other case has died that they came in contact with.  At that point we knew Jehovah heard the hundreds of prayers everyone was sharing. The issue we began to realize is that Scott has no insurance to cover this massive open heart surgery he just had. Any help would be amazing for the family and a true blessing.
