Scott Kimmel, transport driver out of our New Boston (Detroit) yard, has been a loyal and dedicated member of the Brenner Oil Family for 3 years. Scott had his first bout with small bowel cancer in January 2016. At that time, we thought Scott would be off work for 6-months, but he proved us all wrong. Scott did his treatments, followed doctor’s orders, and was back to work within 6 weeks!
Unfortunately, Scott has suffered a relapse, and the cancer is now at a stage 4 with liver involvement. Scott is undergoing regular, intense chemotherapy treatment, and expects to be off work for several months. Battling cancer has not only taken a toll on Scott physically and mentally, but also financially. Scott is a very proud husband, father, and provider for his family. The energy he does have after treatments is used worrying about the welfare of his family.
Brenner Oil Company is asking for everyone’s help to lessen the burden Scott and his family is feeling during this trying time. Please give what you can to help our co-worker, our friend.
If you would like to donate, you may do it here on the GoFundMe page that has been set up by Brenner Oil Company. Or you my send/bring directly to the HR Office at our Holland location, or to Floyd Collins at the New Boston Yard. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Susann Moody, HR Manager.
Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated.
