Cherlise Scott died on January 17th, 2018 unexpectedly in her home in Washington, DC. She was found by her youngest son K'Jahn, 14 years of age when he tried to awake her before going to school. Cherlise was a single mom of three -- daughter Vianni Scott - 30, Keanu Scott - 17, and K'Jahn Scott -14. Vianni is currently in Los Angeles, CA pursuing a career in fashion and will need to relocate back home to take care of her brothers. Keanu is in his last year of school and is expected to attend college in the fall, and K'Jahn is a honor roll student at Cornerstone private school.
Cherlise was an advocate for woman and children, a love for life, touched everyone she came in contact with that sunshine smile and personality. She was a strong single woman that dealt with any obstacle with charisma, intelligence, and wit. She loved life and always showed up for her friends, family, neighbors and strangers. She loved to laugh, she did not view life as the glass is half full, but the glass can be refilled. She was a wonderful person blessed with God's armor in living her life and providing for her family.
It's our thought that to normalize this sudden shift in their life, funding will be needed to do the following:
1. Plan and execute funeral and memorial services
2. Relocation of Vianni from Los Angeles, CA
3. Legal fees to assume custody of brothers
4. Sustain family in new place of residence
5. College/Private school tuition
6. Counseling services for Keanu and K'Jahn
So please help support this wonderful family to work through grieving their loss of a wonderful mother by assisting in helping to pick up the pieces and continue down the path she laid for her family. Please help to sustain this family during grieving and assist them to continue to thrive. All denominations of donations are appreciated.
