UPDATE: I realize I never posted an update on this page, only on Facebook. Our dad received the life-saving surgery he needed this past September. We appreciate all of your support throughout the course of his diagnosis, surgery and remission. He is currently cancer-free and still healing. Scott Calhoun needs your help with medical expenses ASAP to help cover a much needed life-saving surgery. Scott was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma cancer in his lip and throat in August 2017. He went into remission in March 2018. Shortly thereafter he had another growth in his throat which was deemed as a recurring strand of the same cancer. Over the past year all of Scott's treatment has been close to home in San Angelo, TX as he underwent Chemo and Radiation. Unfortunately, with the placement of this new lump in his chin, his Doctors can no longer treat him. Scott desperately needs to have surgery within a couple of months before it's too late. The surgery would most likely require removing most or all of his jaw, tissue and some skin, then reconstruct the jaw with other parts of his body (like the leg). Currently Scott does not have insurance and cannot be covered by Medicaid or Medicare. At this rate he is not expected to live through the end of the year without this surgery.
