Scott Briggs’ Surgery

Donation protected
Scott became a close friend of my Mother-in-law, Michelle while they were working together, after she lost her husband.
Later, to help each other out, they became housemates.
Scott has become a friend and family member, but is now facing life-threatening conditions.
He has a severe hernia that started to effect him 8 months ago, which led him to be hospitalized.
Then Scott learned his gallbladder is failing at one of the trips to the ER, 3 months ago.
In the last 4 months he’s had 4 ER trips.

He has a great job working at Smithson  Valley High School in Spring Branch, but is also at risk of losing his job because of his current poor health.
Even with the insurance the school provides, he needs a minimum of $3,000 upfront to give the surgeon and surgery center.
Although he is trying to save, he still lives on a small salary and has living expenses.

They will not remove his hernia without this $$ unnless it becomes strangulated and cuts off oxygen to the bowel.
It has become a fear that if the hernia does become strangulated, it could kill him.
Scott has lost 60 lbs due to his inability to eat without intense pain (as you can see from the images.

Our family has dealt with a lot if loss in the last few years and would like to help Scott to have a chance at good health and longevity, so we are hoping this go-fund-me could help him reach his goal of having surgery as soon as possible.

Thank you for reading and for your condideration. Every little bit will help Scott get well, keep his job & keep his life.
