Scott Balmos Medical Assistance

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020 Coach Balmos was admitted to the hospital and had emergency surgery to repair a tear in his aortic artery caused by a blood clot and get blood flow back into his legs and abdomen.

The surgery was successful and the doctors repaired the tear and removed a blood clot. They were able to get blood flow back to his lower region but there is major damage to his liver, kidneys and left leg.

His recovery will be long but Scott is tough.  He is a fighter and wants to be home with his family again. The Balmos family have a long road ahead of them and most likely this was not Scott's last surgery. They did not fully repair his heart because it would have been too much on him.  He is still in the hospital receiving dialysis and after his next surgery will spend 10-14 days in a rehabilitation center until he can go home.

We would like to raise money to help the family offset the cost of medical treatment and the expenses that will come with therapy and recovery.
