I've heard about this site before, so I thought to myself.... why not? Every little bit will help us get this started!
Everyone who knows me, knows I can be all over the place when having a conversation. So it will come as no surprise that one day, while lying in bed watching a cooking show, a conversation with the love of my life went from "she is cooking crepe's wrong!" to "I want to make our own cheese and butter" to "I want a little organic farm so that our family and friends can eat healthy food without the high cost and by the way I want a beautiful wedding venue that doesn't make a couple go bankrupt before they say I do". The shared enthusiasm from Scott set off a spark inside of me that is now a full blown fire storm! I can feel my own eyes light up when I talk to people about it. It is now consuming my thoughts day and night. Literally. I even dream about it!
I love animals and I love people! This will be perfect! We have started brainstorming different ideas of what we can do. I have to tell you, it is awesome! Everything from organic foods to petting zoo to an affordable dream wedding venue. (Yes, the goats will be away from the venue area haha)
I have even come up with different ways to incorporate the passions of my family and friends to benefit them in this business venture! I've just about got it all covered: jewelry, photographers, cakes, caterer and I love to do hair and flower arrangements! My requirements of them... have the same passion for helping others and make it affordable.
Scott and I have started to sock away our extra funds to buy a piece of land that can support our dreams and something we can pass down to the children. Though we have just started, it is just going to take way too long to save that kind of money!
Everyone that helps, well... I can do something for them once we get this going! Only have $5 to spare? That is fine! I can make you some mozzarella and ricotta or how about some goat cheese?! Need some fresh veggies? We will have it for you! Want to donate a larger amount and have a wedding or other event planned in the next couple of years..... I will have you covered! We will recognize any help, pay it back or pay it forward!
