Lakeville Girls Youth Softball has had it's home at John Paun Park in Lakeville for several decades. Back in the 80s, a nice scoreboard was installed for the girls to use during games. The state high school softball tournaments were even held there in the past. Much like many things, over time, it has seen it's better days gone by.
We would like to raise money to replace the scoreboard and bring the field back into the "big leagues".
So why $3000...after a quite a bit of searching, I found a company called Varsity Scoreboards. Their model VSBX-314LED is the perfect simple scoreboard for our field. I added the wireless controler and a bottom sponsor panel. The final price is $3,381.22 with shipping included ($546.22). This will give us a great new scoreboard that we can use for the next few decades and provide future sponsorship opportunities.
I expect to be able to install the scoreboard with the help of our great volunteers at little to no cost since the old scoreboard already has power running to it.
