It has now been over 5 years since our great mate “ Sammy Frase” had his horrific accident on Friday 9th December 2011. As most of you know Sammy Frase sustained multiple injuries , but the most serious being an Aquired Brain Injury. Sammy has had a long journey and has enormous support from his family and friends.
Sammy has been very busy in the last 2 years with re-hab etc. with large improvements. Those of you who are fortunate enough to be able to catch up with Sammy, can probably appreciate those improvements, particularly his sense of humour and the fact that he can remember all his friends prior to his accident.
I am currently living in Vietnam, and there wouldn’t be a day that I don’t think of Sammy Frase and the amazing affect he had on our lives.“If you are a mate of Sam Fraser, you would be well aware that it is like a second family the Frase crew”
I have been thinking and talking about doing something to give the big fella a hand with his long road to recovery and It is at this point that I have decided to dedicate a ride from one end of Vietnam to the other in the pursuit of funding a much needed mobility machine for Sammy Frasers rehabilitation.
I plan to ride from Ho Chi Min to Hanoi , approx.. 1700km’s on 12/4/2017, to help raise money for the machine that Sammy will be able to use every day.
Sammy Frase has his 26th birthday coming up on 7/4/2017 and this would make a great present for him. I have had some lengthy conversations with the Fraser Family and they are fully supportive of my idea.
I believe that with your support, we as friends can raise in excess of $13,000 for the machine, and any residual can be spent on other needs for Sammy.
I am appealing to the wider friendship community of Sammy Frase that any donation will be greatly appreciated and who knows we might crack over and above our target.
