We are raising the money for our rescue puppy found in the middle of the street, he needs his right leg removed. My son was coming from his
doctors office on Nov. 28th (he lives in Calif.) and came across this lil guy in the middle of the road. He has a deformed front right leg. He brought him home and sent me pictures.
I left for Calif. on the very next day to be there for my son's 3rd back surgery. When I met the lil guy I noticed he was very malnourished and would also need some immediate care. My son already had 2 dogs and a cat and we all agreed it would be better if I brought him back to Oregon with me. Lil Scooter has already gone from 9 lbs to 12.8 lbs. He gets fed 3 times a day and for the first few weeks we ground the puppy food and added water so he would be able to digest it in his sensitive tummy. He's had his 1st and 2nd baby shots and now needs to have his leg amputated.
My vet said Scooters leg could not be corrected with orthopedic surgery, only with the removal of his leg as soon as possible. He is in a lot of pain, and when needed gets a pain pill.
This lil guy means the world to me. I cannot understand why any one could throw him away to starve, get hit by a car or eaten by an coyote. And on top of that he has this leg he can't walk on. This lil guy has already learned where to go potty and also sit. He gets along with my other small rescue dogs and my 16 yr. old cat. Scooter is a LOVE. He greets everyone with hugs and kisses. He is truly a blessing to have in our family!
This lil guy has had a rough start in life and we are going to make sure he gets all the medical treatment and love he deserves to start his wonderful life with our family.
Words cannot express how grateful we feel that we are able to go to a wonderful site as "gofundme" to help people such as us. We have such a good heart and have rescued many animals but in this case I don't really have the financial means to help Scooter with his surgery, medication or
if there are any other complications (hopefully not.) Scooter is in your debt and he will be loved and happy the rest of his days.
Thank you with all our hearts,
Pam, Gwen and Scooter (3 1/2mos)
