Do you believe in science? Do you believe in kid activism? Do you believe in quality education for all?
Science Outside the White House is a pop-up, one-day STEM festival for kids grades k-12 and a teach-in for adults to learn about proposed changes to legislation and policy that threaten access to STEM education.
If STEM education isn’t a priority issue inside the White House, we can celebrate Science Outside the White House.
Science Outside the White House is four events in one!
- Science (Fair) Outside the White House welcomes elementary, middle school, and high school students to display their own STEM projects! We will have scientists on hand to give feedback on projects.
- STEM festival! Interactive demonstrations presented by educators and scientists will get kids excited about science!
- Teach-In! Adults, convene at our teach-in to learn about the Department of Education, STEM, and proposed legislation that threatens access to quality STEM education.
- RALLY! Bring peaceful, inclusive, family-friendly signs and slogans to show the White House, Congress, and the Department of Education that kids want more science! Parents want more science!
This event is free and open to the public, but it cannot happen without your help. Your donations will: - give kids a great space to display their projects! - keep STEM demonstrations fun and safe! - create a teach-in that everyone can enjoy! - equip volunteers with necessary tools! - make sure we have enough porta potties!
