If you are reading this it is because you know Greg or the Schroeter family in some way. If you know Greg, you know how great of a person he is.  I have had the pleasure of knowing him and the Schroeter family for twelve years. He loves his family unconditionally, he takes pride in his work, and he is a man of faith.

Unfortunately, On Monday, November 23, Greg was hospitalized at Methodist Hospital for COVID in addition to numbness to his upper and lower extremities. It was determined that Greg had developed Guillain Barre Syndrome in association with COVID.

Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a rare neurological disorder in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system—the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord. GBS can range from a very mild case with brief weakness to nearly devastating paralysis, leaving the person unable to breathe independently. Fortunately, most people eventually recover from even the most severe cases of GBS.

Greg has a long road ahead of him. Through all the struggles, the setbacks, and the pain he remains with a smile on his face.

2020 has been a rough year for everyone, while donating is not something everyone can do, we ask that you keep Greg and the Schroeter family in your thoughts and prayers as they fight for health and healing.
