This is École HLM 4 B, which is the elementary school I attended. It is the same exact or yet, worse condition than it was when I left it more than 3 decades ago. The doors to the classrooms, restrooms are either inoperable or don’t exist. It is so unsafe, to the point where you can not imagine how an elementary school child can safely attend classes and be successful. Most faucets don’t work, the toilets are clogged and in need of updating. I was told during my visit that only 30% of the kids promoted to middle school, due to limited resources, poor learning environment, and even subpar trained teachers.

during my time, it used to be one the best schools. Many people who attended this school received a solid foundation that catapulted their education and allowed them to find success later in life thankfully.

It is a proven fact that when children are in a healthy, safe, and clean environment, they are able to learn at a greater capacity than those who have conditions as poor as I have described here.

I am trying to renovate it before October 14 the first day of school. Let’s do what we can InshaAllaah to make the necessary changes in order to give these children a cleaner, and safer environment for learning InshaAllaah.
