School trip fund so All May Go

Hello,

My name is Joan Weaver, and I am the principal of Richard R Green HS of Teaching in downtown Manhattan. We are a diverse Title I school with a lot of great kids and a very enthusiastic learning community. Our staff goes above and beyond with organizing local trips to build a sense of belonging for our students. After the long hiatus of remote learning and Covid, our students really look forward to ice skating, bowling and trampolining. These non-academic outings reinforce social learnings and connections all kids need.

Unfortunately, not all students can afford the expense of these trips. In the past, teachers have always contributed for one or two students to be included. Due to the recent economic hardship of many families, the need is ever-growing.

We would like to create a fund to finance the expense for students who would benefit from participating in trips with their classmates.
