To family & friends, many of you know about the loss of Burhan Ahmed Hanif. Burhan suffered from a sudden heart attack at only 33 years old. As you can imagine, this loss has left a monumental rift in our everyday lives because that’s how much of an impact he had on all of us. This loss is hard and has left our family shocked. We lost an exemplary son, brother, uncle, and friend.

To honor his memories on earth, I am creating a scholarship under his name at Queens College. This scholarship fund will help another young man or woman like Burhan who needs that extra help to achieve their dreams. I ask for your support so that we can come together to honor his legacy.

Burhan was a hardworking man who supported his family in all facets while working full-time and while attending school part time as a math and computer science major all of which he paid for out of pocket. All of which is not easy to do and all of which requires a lot of strength, persistence, resiliency, courage and so much more. He was close to fulfilling his dreams, but he was not given the time in this lifetime to do so. Let’s come together and help someone like Burhan so that they can be given the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
