Scholarship fund for participants at Leviathan

This fund provides scholarship money for deserving participants in workshops at Leviathan Studio. Leviathan Studio hosts workshops in Contact Improvisation from May to October. Approved participants may apply the scholarship toward tuition or travel to Leviathan Studio, Lasqueti Island, British Columbia, Canada.

$36000 goal will provide 15 participants with $1200 and 30 participants with $600. There are 5 workshops scheduled in 2022. They are all 2weeks in length. The 45 scholarship participants will be registered evenly into each of the 5 workshops. This will add 9 serious participants to the attendance.

This scholarship fund will make Leviathan Studio more accessible to under-employed dance students . The workshops at Leviathan are longer than most and it is hard to get to, often the travel expense to Lasqueti Island is prohibitive.

Furthermore, this fund will increase the profitability of the workshops. The increased revenue will provide for much needed maintenance on Leviathan Studio. But first, an extra 45 participants will get to experience the beauty of studying Contact Improvisation at Leviathan Studio.
