Scholarship Fund for Omarion James

Donation protected
I am John Garrido, Vice President of the Gladstone Park Neighborhood Association. I also work as a Lieutenant with the 16th District Chicago Police Department.

Omarion James graduated from Foreman High School, Class of 22'

While sitting on her front porch at her westside home, his 13 year old sister was murdered in 2020 and his brother was murdered shortly after that.

He was a standout student and athlete in spite of the chaos surrounding him. He developed a strong bond with the School Resource Officers assigned to his school. Officer Bauer and Officer Nowakowski.

As his graduation approached, one of the officers (Bauer) noted he had not yet been accepted to any college. The Officer decided to make a cold call to Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.

After hearing Omarion's story, the school decided to waive all out-of-state fees and accept him to the school for only $6,000 per year.

Please consider a small donation to help Omarion cover the remainder of his expenses to attend school in Alabama.

We are hoping to raise enough to cover his first year at school.

DUE TO THE AMAZING RESPONSE, WE HAVE CHANGED THE GOAL TO HELP OMARION FOR ALL 4 YEARS OF COLLEGE.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!
