Scholarship for Camp Winnamocka
Noah, in 5th grade, has a smile on his face and a sparkle in his eye that makes you want to sit down next to him and let him know you’re there to listen. He might hug you to show his gratitude and big heart, whether he knows you or not. He is well liked and is really smart. He attended Camp Winnamocka in July 2019, having been awarded the camp scholarship. It breaks my heart that Noah might get the message: “Noah, your friends and classmates get to go to camp every summer. You, though, can go only once. Sorry.” I believe a week at Camp Winnamocka in the summers will bring Noah joy to carry him through whatever hardships and tragedies he has experienced and will experience, including the unexpected death of his father when he was 8. In his own words, he wants to go back this summer because, “I had the best time of my life and want to experience it again. Plus, I want to hang out with my friends.” Let’s help Noah go back to camp this summer.
