Schizophrenic son needs help.

Donation protected
Mental illness is very painful to live with. This just started around the end of June. Now my son, Jonathan, will  be on psychotrophic drugs for schizophrenia and anxiety for the rest of his life. He is only 22 years old. He was born 10 weeks premature and almost died. He was in special education in school and struggles with a learning disability. Now this illness hits him and he is having emotional meltdowns and talking about suicide.

Diagnosis and Symptoms:
His MD said he is suffering from early signs of psychosis. He has delusional thoughts about other people which terrify him. He can't sort out what is really happening to him. So he goes into a full blown panic attack with crying, pacing, and hyper-ventalating and thoughts of suicide after going out anywhere in public such as the library, grocery store, or gas station, or even just out on the front porch. He thinks everyone is angry at him and wants to hurt him. He says he doesn't want to live his life like this anymore.

PURPOSE OF THE FUNDRAISER:

Young adult son is sick and so is elderly mother:

As a single mother it is difficult to take care of my son and work. I have been unemployed for seven months. I have been trying to find a part-time job that will give me flexibility to help with my son and my mother. In May 2014 my mother (81) fell and is suffering from a concussion. She wants to stay in her home instead of a nursing home where she thinks she would just be left to die. She has been sufferng from debilitating arthritis and chronic pain and can't ever seem to find relief.

We have had to be on suicide watch with my son since he started getting sick in June. His MD says stress is a trigger for bringing on schizophrenia. Jonathan is so worried about losing his Mamaw because they love each other so much!  He tries to help her with washing dishes, vacuuming, cutting grass, bathing, feedings, and lifting her up and down, which is really hard to do.

Christmas Eve is a special day in our family:

Jonathan's birthday is December 24, 2014. I want to get him something really special. He has been hoping for a  Playstation 4, which cost $400.  He has really been through a lot this year, especially the past six months. I caught up the utilities and taxes this month, but there's nothing left for a present for his birthday.

GOING FORWARD IN FAITH:
We had to replace the ignition module and get a tune up on my old '92 Chevy pickup truck, which costs $450.  It wouldn't start and I had to have it towed in for service twice in the past two weeks. Thank you to a generous Christian friend who helped us out with this emergency.(not once but twice!)

ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE:
We are SO grateful for anything you feel led to give from your heart. Some people may feel that $5 is not enough, but every dollar adds up. We just need to get over this rough patch. With your  kindness and generosity we can make it. Thank you for reading this far. Please keep us in your prayers. God Bless You! to donate go to:  http://www.gofundme.com/ctn2wk
