On behalf of all who knew him both professionally and personally, we think it would be safe to say his passion for perfection was a challenge at times. Dale cared about every detail ... the smallest dimension, the correct material specification, showing up on time and when you said you would, and getting the job done right the first time. Through any heated exchanges that may have occurred, we think you will all agree that Dale's approach to work brought out the best in us, saved everyone time and money, and made all of us want to succeed and be the recipient of his approval (aka "atta boy").
Dale was a unique human being in today's world. He was a very complex mix of perfectionism, empathy, drive and his old school approach to things - all with a fantastic sence of humor! His ability to joke in the midst of a crisis was truly a gift and a blessing. For those of us who had contact with him towards the end of his time here on earth - it was his way of helping us cope with life's reality.
For those of you who knew Dale as a strong willed and opioniated construction professional - you may not know he was also a loving and dedicated family man away from the jobsite. Dale is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty, their son Andrew, and his wife and their two children. Dale absolutely adored his grandchildren !
It is with this purpose, that we write this memorial for Dale to bring everyone together in the appreciation of our experience and time with him, acknowledgement of his impact on our personal and professional lives, and request of your support of his family at this difficult time of loss. Your financial contribution, no matter the size, will help Dale's family cover the costs of the medical expenses, funeral costs, and help pay for his outstanding "to do list" for Patty, Andrew and family - when he simply ran out of time.
