The Scarborough 9/10 year old girls all-star softball team is amazing! This group of 13 girls has been working hard day-in and day-out, practicing and playing games weeknights and on weekends. This team went undefeated to win the District 6 Championship and then represented our District in the State tournament. After a first game loss, they fought their way back through 4 consecutive games to beat Shaker Valley 2-1 in the 8th inning!
The girls have been invited to represent the State of Maine in a regional softball tournament in Jenkins Township, PA. This is an invite only event and starts Friday, July 28th. What an fantastic opportunity! This multi-game event is going to be a large expense for families to take on, while taking time off from work.
This gofundme is going to make sure that all of our girls are able to attend and defray some of the cost of this once-in-a-liftime experience.
