My Voice

Hi supporters!  Here's more information about why we are running this campaign for Timothy.  This past summer his communication device went missing (we presume it was stolen because it looks like a tablet although it really had no function other than for the user it was programmed for).  He has autism, is non-verbal, and his device was his primary means of communication.  We have been trying to work with his insurance to buy him a new device, however they will not because the device cost $7,000 and only one device can be supplied every 5 years.  Which means that he will have to wait another 2 and 1/2 years before going through the lengthy process (about 6 months) of getting a new one!  Initially we thought that we would not get much support because we know that this is a lot of money.  So made the goal of $1000 to purchase a device to be a temporary fix for the immediate problem (which would be very helpful, but not a long term solution).  We've decided to just have faith in God and tell our family, friend, and community what we need.  So were just going to go for it and try to get enough support to replace the device entirely.  I am confident that God will guide us to the right resources and help us find a way to get him communicating again.  Our family thanks you for all of your support, prayers, sharing, and contributions!
