Hi, my name is Lashain, but my close friends and family calls me 'Munchie'. I was born in Jamaica, grew up there too. Its a beautiful island with beautiful lively people with huge personalities, I am just that despite what life has thrown my way.
I was diagnosed with System Lupus Erythrematous simply known as Lupus , and at the time I thought....OK, Its going to be hard but I can live with that. And hard it WAS. The flare ups were debilitating at times, then there were the skin changes that made me unrecognizable at times.
The muscle aches and pains had me in tears! I was known to be bubbly, life of the party, I stepped out with a huge smile and an even bigger personality! Do you know that chronic illness's worst victim is your spirit.  If you don't fight to keep your spirit alive, thats what kills you faster...
And with my spirit clinging for dear life, i stepped in my doctor's office one afternoon and was told i had CANCER! STAGE 2 COLON CANCER!! Size of a grapefruit. I knew I always hated those darn things. 
What can I say....I need help. After paying my medical bills and filling my prescription more than half the time I am left with nothing from my salary. Yes I still work as a school's enrollment admin. I have to.  Just as how I HAVE to win this fight. I have no children of my own, but I love each and everyone in that school.  I have a supportive family who gives as much as they can. They are my rock. Help me win this fight. Help me live. I have started CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADIATION! The bills get higher and higher.  I will never give up! I just need your help.
