Our incredible SBPA Vet team, headed by MVZ Edgar Espinoza keeps going as long as we can purchase surgical supplies, antibiotics, and anesthetics. They do all the work and in fact in 2020 they did over 2,900 free spay/neuter surgeries. A job well done.
Now the big challenge is always how to we pay for the cost of future clinics without any of the fundraising activities in San Carlos? The Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to them.
Our cost for one spay/neuter surgery is around $15. We do 200 surgeries at a clinic. Every now and then something wonderful happens that gives us hope for the future. Focusing on the future rather than the past creates so many opportunities.
So today we woke up to a $6,000 Matching Grant Challenge from one of our great supporters.
That means for every dollar you donate she will match it up to $6,000. We do not get this opportunity very often if we are lucky maybe once a year. But we much meet the goal by February 28th. Can we do it? Yes, we can with your help.
This matching grant is potentially $12,000 to fund more than 800 surgeries. That is a big deal.
And you can make it happen. You are doubling the tax-deductible donation you make and helping prevent the birth of thousands of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens.
