The truth is that my self-esteem prevented me from creating this link for 160 days, but waking up to the occupation’s bombardment “fire belts and artillery shells” almost ended my life and the life of my family, especially the fear of my sick sister who suffers from type 1 diabetes. <div>We left our home in Gaza and were displaced many times under inhuman conditions, suffering from all forms of oppression, disease, pollution, lack of security, treatment, and severe bombing. <div>My sister, Shaima, suffers from type 1 diabetes, and needs special health care, healthy food, and treatment with insulin pens and strips to test her blood sugar, and all of this is not available.

<div>Shaima also has her own small project, “manufacturing handmade accessories,” and the occupation has destroyed her dreams of continuing this small project.
