Our friend, Shannon McAllister Brownson is 45 years young and if you know her, you know she's as rare a gem as you'll ever find! Her laugh is infectious, her spirit is uniquely strong and you can't help but want to be in her presence. She has persevered through the toughest of times and never stopped believing in a brighter day. However, Shannon is now facing the fight of her life!
Like our rare friend, so too is this Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer she has been diagnosed with. It accounts for only for 1% of all Thyroid Cancers and almost never affects anyone under the age of 65. It is also a very aggressive cancer and therefore she will endure equally aggressive treatments. These treatments will hopefully allow her as much time as possible with Roger and their 3 beautiful children Connor 16, Dylan 14 and Sadie 11.
So we are reaching out for your support of Shannon and her family's extremely tough road ahead. With Shannon unable to work for the first time in her life, the stress of this devasting diagnosis is made painfully worse by the mounting financial burdens that come along with it. We can't take away the cancer but together, we can ease the monetary toll it has taken and will continue to take on this family. Shannon is always the first in line to lend a hand and she would be the last one to ever ask for help. She has always been the most generous of givers, but now it is her time to receive!
