Diaper and Wipes Drive for FloCrit
Donation protected
We are holding a Diaper and Wipes Drive for Florence Crittenton. We will use all of the donated funds to purchase the items and deliver them to the school. For background:
Florence Crittenton Services is a Denver-based nonprofit that supports pregnant and parenting teen mothers and their children in the metro-area. They operate a family resource center that works toward their mission of educating, preparing, and empowering teen mothers and their children. Their campus includes our Early Childhood Education Center, Florence Crittenton High School, a DPS High School for their moms, the Alethia E. Morgan Health Center, and other resources, including basic needs, a Student and Family Support Program, art therapy, and parenting classes.
FloCrit helps teen families year-round by providing basic needs and parenting items that can be expensive for them to purchase on their own, however since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for items such as diapers, wipes, formula, grocery gift cards, feminine hygiene products, and children’s books has been greater, and FloCrit has been supporting families with their needs throughout. ECE teachers and Family Advocates have participated in regular basic needs deliveries to all 100+ FloCrit families this year. We’ve supported this effort through basic needs drives from companies, groups, and individuals, and everything we’ve received has either gone right back out to a mom and her family, or remains stocked in our store to support moms when they eventually come back to campus.
Thank you so much for participating in this effort, and for making an impact this holiday season on the lives of FloCrit teen families. Every donation counts!
