Sayde Jane Lowe

On June 29th Sayde Jane Lowe went into complete heart failure, 4 years after having a heart transplant. She was flown to Phoenix Children Hospital where she had to be put on a heart/lung bypass machine (ECMO) since there was no progress. Sayde has been put on the heart transplant list again in order to be put on a ventricle assist device in case she needs it. Now she has finally been removed from ECMO but still going through so many procedures, therapies and challenges. It has been a roller coaster of ups and downs for her and her family. As many of you have watch the video in which she looked BETTER and things looked promising that she was finally coming home, Sayde took another turn for the worse. She has been put on support tubes again and she had to go through another surgery for a chest tube. Doctors thought it was fluid around her heart but it was a HUGE blood clot and fluid on the left side of the chest.

Chris, Sara and Max are still trying to wrap this around their heads. They still have so much to go through since it looks like Sayde is going to stay in the hospital longer than we thought. It’s been 4 years already since she has been putting up a fight and has been proving to us that she is not ready to give up. Our little Turtle was and will continue to be the light of every room she walks into.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and for continuing on doing so. Chris and Sara have still a long road ahead which will be hard but with our help and prayers they sure can do it.
