Say 'NO' to family violence

Donation protected
I’m in the final stages of becoming a family violence survivor advocate, which means I’ll be able to use my personal story to change societal attitudes regarding family violence and violence against women. First of all silence is never the answer, that’s why I’m making a big song and dance about it. I feel that it’s important for people to talk openly about family violence, particularly victims where they feel comfortable.

I’ll be shaving my hair off when I reach $7,000 in donations, which will go directly to the ‘Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre’. They do an amazing job by supporting women and children experiencing family violence and empowering survivors to overcome trauma. You can read more about what they do at www.safesteps.org.au.

Hopefully I’ll reach the donation target by the end of May and yes, I’ll be plugging it every chance I get it. You can expect heaps of photoshopped hairstyles before I get the number 1. Once it’s all done, I’ll be donating my hair to a children’s charity so some lil kids who really need it can have it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope that together we can make a significant contribution to the safety and wellbeing of women and children. This is something that means a lot to me and I really appreciate your support.
