Sawyers Medical/Hospital Bills

On April 5, 2017, I had the absolute pleasure and joy to welcome my very first Nephew, Sawyer Stephen VanScoy,  into this world. It was one of the most special and beautiful moments of my life. Pure joy quickly turned to fear and heartbreak. After a heart scan, things began to get serious. Three nurses rushed into the hospital room and took Sawyer from my sisters arms to place him in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) where he was immediately hooked up to multiple machines to monitor his heart. Later, a Cardiologist informed us of his condition. Sawyer was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called, "Tetralogy of Fallot".  In the simplest of terms, due to a heart that was not fully developed before his birth, he is not getting enough oxygen to his heart. We were informed that he would need a surgery. When he was 6 weeks old he had a minor surgery that helped postpone his major surgery so his heart/lungs could develop as much as possible. Sawyer will be having his invasive open heart surgery in a week. Because of the time spent in the NICU and Sawyers first surgery, my sister and brother-in-law have had overwhelming medical expenses. In the mean time, they were forced to move because of a deteriorating foundation of their home. Next week is just going to add to their overwhelming expenses. They will not be able to stay in the hospital with their son, so they will be staying in a nearby hotel, rather than being 45+ minutes away from the hospital. Im starting this because my sister and brother-in-law could use a huge blessing. If you are moved to give, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you are not in a place to give right now, your prayers with be just as appreciated. Thank you in advance. God Bless.
