On March 18st, 2016 we lost an amazing friend. Eric's contageous laugh and fun loving spirt will be missed by all. This account was started in response to the outpouring of thoughts, prayers and love from all of Eric's friends and family. All monies raised from this account will go directly to Eric's widow and children in their time of need.
Eric Sawotin of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on March 18th, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine; his beloved daughters Jade and Madi; his mother Noelie; his father Bill; his sister Karla; his brother and sister-in-law Chris and Jen; his brother-in-law Nathan; nephews Mitch, Trent, and Sawyer; nieces Peyton and Lauryn; and many other loving family members and friends.
Eric was born in Pau, France on August 18th, 1971, and moved to Calgary in 1972. Eric was a natural leader. He was class president in high school, and went on to receive his degree from Mount Royal College. He had a successful career in IT Consulting & Sales. Eric was a devoted family man, teaching and sharing his passion for fishing, hunting, and camping with his girls. He was naturally talented and excelled at everything he attempted - whether it be sports, photography, or craftsmanship. He found a real passion for running. Eric could be seen putting on countless miles in Fish Creek with unwavering commitment known to run hundreds of days in a row despite any of life's distractions. Eric had an amazing, contagious personality and always found the energy to encourage others to succeed. He was so deeply loved by his immediate family and was always instigating laughter and cementing the bond. Eric's silly, contagious laugh will be remembered by everyone who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
Please note, I Amy Tuer set up this account. Eric and I had gone to University together where I had the pleasure of getting to know Eric. I have created this account to help support Eric's family in their time of great sadness. For all the help and guideance Eric had provided my family I will forever be grateful. You will be missed.
