Ignite Mission Trip

Hello everyone, my name is SavHannah Crabtree, I am twenty-one years old, and asking for prayer and support as I go and give the next year to the Lord in a Mission's trip.

I am so excited to share with you what the Lord is doing in my life and I pray you would be encouraged by it. A few months ago, when Potter's Field Ministries (PFM) came to our church, God spoke to me and told me to GO and spend a year in missions. 

After hearing about Potter’s Field Ministries’ IGNITE Mission Training School, I began to sense that the Lord was challenging me to step up to the call of dedicating a season of one year to be totally focused on Him so that I could discern the will and purpose of God for my life. I have felt called for most of my life to do missions, especially with children and being the hands and feet of Jesus.  I would read stories of missionaries that laid down their lives for the lost, and knew God was asking me if I was willing to do the same. I have looked online for missions trips, seen other ministries' oppurtunities, and prayed about so many different organizations, but God never said GO. 

So  when I heard about Ignite,  and I felt God finally say GO, I know that this is His will for my life. It is the answer of so many years of prayer,  and I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this. And while I do know that IGNITE is primarily targeted on training, mentoring, and equipping young men and women for serving on the foreign mission field, I also know that by giving God my entire focus for one year to study His Word and hear His voice, I will grow a deeper foundation for the work I am called to, even beyond the time spent serving internationally. I expect that God’s preparation through the time I set aside for Him will prepare me not just for a missionary journey of twelve months, but for a life on mission. 

I want to live a life on mission. I want my entire life to be based on winning the lost, and discipling the saints. 

My plan is to attend the course that begins in January. I will live on their campus in Antigua, Guatemala for three months of training before being sent to one of Potter’s Field Ministries’ additional international locations to serve in the Potter’s Field Kids programs. During the time I am in the field, I will be under the supervision of the local pastors with whom PFM co-labors in whichever location I am sent. PFM currently has locations in Cambodia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Kenya, and Uganda. I will have a chance to minister to the kids and serve the local people who care for these little ones every day in one of the international sites.

Please pray for me as I step out in this venture of faith. Specifically I need prayer for guidance, provision, and surrender. Of those three things, you could personally pray about helping me cover the financial commitment. I need to raise $7000 to cover my tuition and travel expenses. If the Lord does put this on your heart, you can either donate one time or decide to give monthly. 

This opportunity to be challenged and changed is a bit scary, but it’s also one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. Thank you so much for keeping this in your prayers. I really desire that God would use this step of faith to forever transform my life and the lives of those to whom He sends me.
