SAVIORS FOR SANDY

Donation protected
My sister was born with a pure soul.   When she sees pain she feels the need to make it better.   If you know her you’ve most likely experienced her kindness.   It may have come in the form of some extra cash when you really needed it, an unexpected gift, or a good house cleaning when you were too sick to do it yourself.    Maybe you were unlucky enough to look unhappy to her and suffered through her dancing dentures?    (If not, you don’t wanna know.  Unless you do then I promise when she’s better, we’ll make that happen for you)   LOL!    She helps any way she can.   That’s who she is.   And God willing it’s who she’ll be for a few more years.   But that depends on the kindness of other good people.  People like you.

Sandy has Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrocystic Disease.   A lot of big words that mean, her lungs are scarring,  becoming stiff and unable to function.   No one knows what causes the idiopathic form of this disease or why it strikes the people it does.   But we do know she’s dying.  And death is coming soon without a lung transplant.   Sandy has been working hard to be granted the privilege of being added to the transplant list.    And last week she was listed for 2 lungs.   But Lung Transplants are expensive.    And we are a small family.

We need your help.   Please.   We were raised not to ask for help.  So this is uncomfortable for us.   I love my sister.   And the thought of loosing her …. is painful beyond my ability to describe.   So I’m not asking for help.  I’m begging for help.    Please help us to have a few more years together.   Help her.  God knows she deserves it.

She told me last night that every time she looks at her pups her heart hurts because she’s so afraid the day will soon  come when she’ll never see them again.

Sandy doesn’t require much from life to be happy.   The wagging of a tail when she comes through the door, the aroma of bread baking on a fall day, and the knowledge that all people are basically good.  And we’re capable of loving each other.

I’ll do my very best to keep you all updated on Sandy.   And each one of you will be remembered in my prayers.

Thank you so much for taking the time to hear my plea.

 Your friend,

Pam….Sandy’s sister
